Detlef Surrey lives in Berlin.
He has worked as an illustrator an comic-strip artist since 1980.
Studied at the "Hochschule der Künste", Berlin, graduating with a diploma in Visual Communication, 1986.
1983 he developed the comic-strip character "Emil" for "Zitty", the Berlin listings magazine.
1988 founder member of the "Büro für Gestaltung" studio (comprising 5 graphic designers and an industrial designer.
Since 1998 member of the "Hagelstudios" (formed by four illustrators).
Currently specializes in editorial, advertising, book illustration,
and animations for digital media. |
